Alex graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Sciences (Clinical Exercise Physiology) in 2016. Alex graduated with honors, after submitting his honors project: ” A Review of the Strength & Flexibility Guidelines for Optimizing Upper Limb Function in Manual Wheelchair Users with Tetraplegia”.
After completing his 6-week neurological college placement at a spinal cord injury recovery center on Australia’s Gold Coast, Alex took a position there as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. Alex spent four years delivering activity-based therapy sessions to clients with neurological conditions as well as managing and providing clinical support to the university practicum students/interns, before relocating to San Diego in 2020.
During this time Alex also worked as a Strength & Conditioning Trainer at the Vietnam Tennis Open and the Brisbane International Tennis Tournament and played premier grade Rugby Union with his local club.
Alex is passionate about neurological rehabilitation, the psycho-social benefits of activity-based therapy and ensuring that all of his clients receive the highest level of care possible. His special areas of interest are tone & spasticity management, gait assessment and locomotor training.
